Yardley LIVE - 2000 was an ambitious project for the Birmingham Children’s Fund that aimed to connect children and their families with the service providers in the Yardley area of Birmingham. We used arts and media to create pieces that said something about the area and how various agencies were making a difference, then operating polls to get feedback from the street. We operated a mobile studio, a touchscreen polling kiosk, and a set of bench kiosks that enabled us to leave presentations of children’s media pieces, set up polling questionnaires and have automatic voice recording facilities.
