It seems these days we are always writing about being busy - but that's just the way it is!
What I find interesting though is that the 'type' of busy is changing. We are still doing inspiration sessions and one day training projects in schools, but we are seeing schools taking training far more seriously and wanting more long term input from us.

Our recent work has seen us providing intensive training programs to our partner schools involving 2-3 trainers per day, spread over 6-10 days and delivered over a few weeks. What has been great about these projects is the opportunity that we get to see our training bringing results in to the classroom.

Pottery artwork display from Bewsey Lodge Primary

Bewsey Lodge Primary has been a great school to work in, after a curriculum planning session and a skill based training workshop the staff took a simple iPad pottery app and used it to teach a maths lesson. Students modelled their pottery and collected virtual cash to buy paint and improve their designs. These were then used in class where students created their own auction and recorded financial transactions. We have a few days of training at Bewsey Lodge left to go including a big celebration event where all staff will get together to share what they have learned and plan in their ongoing support for each other.

Whatever style of training you want or however serious you are about understanding how technology can improve teaching and learning, trilby is here to help.
