SusMac at Bluecoat, Hereford

The Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat school was the venue for the Sustainability Machine (SusMac) on 7th July. We worked along side Globally Local to deliver workshops to 200 students in Livingstone House as part of their curriculum enrichment day.

The event started with the student organising group 'The 16' telling everyone about the 5 themes of the day; Food, Fuel, Fashion, Finance and Fresh Water. The house was then divided in to groups to work on Animation, Fashion, Movie Set building, Performance, Newspaper and Props which everyone got stuck in to. By mid afternoon everything had been created and 5 short films were recorded by each theme team while the Fashion collection was put on display as part of 'The Rubbish Show'

The whole day is being collated on to a DVD to be used as a tool to get the whole school thinking about sustainability.
