Trilby are currently working on a Creative Partnership funded project with the Earls High School to develop an online literacy tool which aims to improve writing skills aimed at Years 5/6 and used by Year 7/8 for peer teaching.

The first two sessions included the students learning about basic filming and editing techniques. They were able to put into action what they had learned by filming dance performances at their school and then editing those in iMovie.

Ben headed up north last week to the Scottish Learning Festival in Glasgow to help out on the RM stand. Working with pupils from local primary schools, along with fellow Apple Distinguished Educator Neil Emery, several pieces of work were created to showcase Apple technologies.

PhotoBooth was used with some custom background effects to turn the students in to robots. iMovie was used to edit the work together and provide green screen effects and Garageband was the tool of choice for adding background sounds and effecting the young people's voices.

The finished work will be uploaded to the Scottish schools VLE system, Glow and the students left at the end of the workshops with their work on memory sticks.
