Online Development

When it comes to delivering a product or service the Internet has opened up lots of opportunities to get everyone involved.

A globally available front to any service makes it really accessible and at Trilby we have been at the forefront of online tools and development since the early 90's

We started a bulletin board system before the web was invented which had over 200 local people and organisations connecting to share information and trying out this new thing called 'email' The world has moved on and we now are building products using the latest in web technologies and still pushing what is possible with the technology and budgets available.

Behind many of the best websites is a database. This allows the website to be dynamic and ever changing. Updates happen easily and visitors see the information they need to see when they access the site. We pioneered some development work with social networking in Dudley with projects like KidsMag and StaffMag. Using the Dudley Grid for Learning we created an online community involving around a quarter of the young people in Dudley. Key to our success is the involvement of the target audience in the creation of these tools and the involvement of peer groups to share and disseminate.

Recent work with the Leading Aspect Award and Dudley Arts Council has seen us develop web based systems for public access, and administration systems that empower the organisations to do more and be more efficient.
