The Sandwell Joint Registrations and Inspections Unit, who have a statutory responsibility for inspecting and producing reports on residential care homes in Sandwell, commissioned a website and database which puts all the reports and other useful information into the public domain.

The site went live in August 2000 and provides an efficient way to document and store the information as well as making it very easy for public access.

Following the re-organisation of the way care homes are inspected, the department running the site has been moved into the health service and the site is no longer maintained online.
