eVoteMag.net is a new website designed to be used within the new Citizenship curriculum which all schools began to role out in September 2002.
The sites main aim is to encourage debate around topical issues. Then to take these debates and record peoples response in the form of a vote.
Each vote will be structured in a similar way...
Debate - video clips putting both sides of an argument, these are currently scripted by us here at Trilby Multimedia, but we hope to get schools involved in this process.
Research - links to other data to help the voter make an informed decision. These maybe documents that people have written up, organisations who are connected with the issue or materials that are produced by schools using the system.
Vote - the place to cast your vote, 2 more video clips to remind the voter of the main arguments.
When you vote you are asked to complete some details about yourself which will enable further analysis of the vote. We are also looking to provide the data to local gfovernment mapping departments which will then provide us with further in depth analysis which will be fed back to the site.
